Jen + Tyler Wedding

Jen and Tyler…where do I begin? When I arrived at the hotel to capture some getting ready photos, I walked in the room and her dress was spread out over the bed. Jen told me that earlier in the day she had her dress hanging in the shower and one of her friends turned the shower on. Oops! Jen pointed outside at the rain and said “oh well, it is going to get wet anyway”. At that moment I knew it would be a easy going laid back day. Little did I know that the day would end with this:

But, lets not get ahead of ourselves. Here are a few of my favorites and you can also click HERE for the slideshow.

My great assistant Susan grabbed the next two photos as Jen and her dad were getting ready to enter the church.

Now, back to the pool. Jen told me that she wanted to jump in the pool in her wedding dress. This was a first for me but everyone from the reception filed outside and watched. It looked like too much fun so the bridesmaids decided to join her. It was so much fun!

All of the commotion drew a crowd on the hotel balconies.

Senior 09 – Ashley

I had the opportunity to do some senior pictures this week. I don’t do a lot of these but we sure did have a good time and I would love to do more. Ashley is an incredible young lady and I loved getting to know her.

Quick trip to Sedalia

We headed to Sedalia this weekend to visit my parents and take Nicholas to the State Fair for the first time. He didn’t enjoy the fair as much as I thought he would. Maybe he is still too young.
Sunday my friend Nikki came by with her daughter Maya. Maya and Nicholas are just a few months apart and we love when we can get them together to play. I grabbed a few shots of them in my parent’s backyard. I can’t get over how adorable she is.

Ah! How cute are they?

Annie + Mike E-Session

I met up with Annie and Mike this weekend to shoot their engagement photos. We had so much fun finding fun places all around town. We started at Stephen’s Lake park. This is my FAVORITE park in town. It is such a wonderful place for families. We then headed downtown.

How cool is this bridge we found hidden behind the park?

Downtown Columbia never fails to provide new places to shoot. I love finding bright color to bring some fun to my images.

We were getting ready to call it quits when I said in a jokingly hopeful voice “well I guess that is it, unless you guys want to run through the fountains in your clothes”. I was more than thrilled when Annie’s reaction was “Heck Yeah!” I knew I liked them.
