I met up with Jacquelyn and Jay super early one morning in St Louis for their engagement shoot. They are getting married in October at Union Station and I am so excited for their big day.
That sweet little man in the middle is Rudy. He came upon us during our shoot and sat down with the happy couple for a few minutes.
Sammy and Jacob met in high school and now they are both teachers. Last year Jacob had the kids in his shop class cut out wooden letters that spelled out:
And he had her students lay it out for him and he walked in and surprised her. How sweet is that?!?! I love it!

I was so excited when Booke’s mom called me and told me they wanted me to be their wedding photographer. You see, I have known Brooke since she was just a little girl. It is fun to see how she has grown up and met such a wonderful man. Matija is one of the sweetest guys ever. I think they are pretty lucky to have found each other.

Their first look. So sweet!!!
I almost ALWAYS shoot outside. But, this day was particularly HOT and there was not a stitch of shade anywhere around. I noticed all of these big amazing windows just letting beautiful light pour in so we shot almost all of their images there.
I love this one. This is the Brooke I know.

We had some fun playing on the escalators.
The girls were cracking me up. I really didn’t think I could just show you one of these photos. You have to see them all.
The moment right after the first kiss is always one of my favorites. That is Brooke’s grandpa in the background. He married them. Such a sweet touch.

I am so looking forward to Amy and Jake’s wedding. Even though it was 150 degrees when we shot their engagement session, we had a blast. Ok, maybe 150 degrees is a bit of an exaggeration but it was HOT! We even had to stop for a while and go inside somewhere to cool off. Lucky for us one of their favorite bars just happened to be right down the street. There was lots of laughter in this session. I like that.
