Family Photos

My very good friend Carli needed some new family photos.  We have been trying to get together to do them for some time now but our schedules seem to clash.  We finally found a day and I am so glad we did.  Not only is Carli a good friend but she was also my son’s baby sitter for almost two years while I worked another day job AND, her wedding was my first wedding I shot by myself.  So, needless to say, she is special to me.  Here are shots of her adorable little family. 0005

Ashley and Zack ~ Just becuase

Ashley recently got her first house. As a gift to her, my sister asked me to take some photos of her and her boyfriend for a special surprise. I really shouldn’t say this because it is going to tell everyone how OLD I am…I used to babysit Ashley when I was in College. Golly, where does the time go?

Oh, and on another note, I have to tell you how happy I am that there is green grass, flowers and Sunshine!!

Here are some of my faves:0017

“Find me Mommy!”

This is what Nicholas was saying as he partially hid under the couch at my parents house.  I love how kids think you can’t see them if they can’t see you.

In February I was able to quit my job and start doing photography full time.  That also means that I get to spend every day with my amazing little boy.  Maybe I am a little biased but, he is something else and I love watching him learn and explore.  We spent an afternoon at my parents house this week and I got some cute shots of Nicholas.  I also handed the camera over to my mom and asked her to take some of Nicholas and I.  We don’t have a lot of photos together because I am always on the other side of the lens.  I am trying to make a point to be in more photos because I already regret how few we have together!

He asked me to take a picture of him with the horse.  He NEVER requests pictures!

This is Nicholas “tending” to drink coffee.  For those of you that don’t speak two-year old, that is actually “pretending”.

Jen + Brett and baby on the way!

Over the past two and a half years I have had the pleasure of making some wonderful friends on a Photography Forum online. It is all women and we all love photography. I have learned so much from this amazing group of ladies. I can honestly say I would not be where I am today with my business if it was not for this group. Recently I have have been able to meet several of the girls in person. Jen is one of them. She is from the KC area and asked me if I would do some maternity photos for her. I was so honored that she asked me. We met half way in Sedalia and found some really great spots to shoot. If anyone is getting married in Sedalia, give me a call because I would LOVE to shoot a there again!!!

Here are some of my favorite shots from the day and Jen- I can’t wait to meet that baby girl!
